What'sss For Desssert?

I was a participant over at Ten Paces and Draw again for Carnivores week this week! I had a blast finishing up Alyssa's sketch. Here is how it turned out:

You can check out the rest of the illustrations right here.

Pokemon Battle Royale

As a child of the 90s, Pokémon was a big deal in my adolescent life. Which is why I am super psyched to announce that I will be participating in the Pokémon Battle Royale show this April at Light Grey Art Lab in Minneapolis! 151 artists illustrating the 151 original Pokémon. There is a stellar list of artists participating in this show (including my pals Chelsey and Kaycie!) and you can check out the full list right here along with the Pokémon they are illustrating. I'll be illustrating #137–Porygon.

Let's do this thang

Keep your eyes peeled here for a few Poké-related updates in the future and if you live in near Minneapolis come and check out the show opening on April 20! It's going to be the best that ever was.

The Maitlands

It's not mine, but I absolutely had to share these awesome portraits of The Maitlands from Beetlejuice. They were part of Teen Movie Week this past week on Ten Paces and Draw, an awesome blog that pairs up illustrators to swap sketches and finish each others art (I'll be participating in Carnivore week at the end of the month!). My friend Abi sketched these bad boys and the fantastic Victor Melendez did the final illustration you see below. You can check out the original post here and be sure to check out the rest of Teen Movie Week on Ten Paces and Draw.

Winter Warm-up Drinks #2 and 3

Mulled Apple Cider is up on Good Good today! I think this is my favourite one so far. And I forgot to link to drink #2: Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, yum yum!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone! Whatever you are celebrating during this holiday season, I hope you are enjoying yourself and get to spend some time with the people you love. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me this past year! From helping me out with my thesis to continuing to support me and my illustrations, you have been absolutely amazing. You have helped make 2011 better than I could have imagined. I've got so many ideas for 2012 and I am looking forward to sharing them with you!

New Mini-Illustration Series

I've started a little mini-illustration series on my other blog for the month of December. Some illustrated drink recipes to warm you up as the weather gets colder. You can see my first one here!
