EDMONTON FOR HARRY ROSEN

Canadian men's retailer Harry Rosen features a different city in their seasonal magazine with an illustrated map and some travel tips. I had fun illustrating the destination for their fall/winter 2012 magazine, Edmonton.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

I don't follow sports one bit but boy do I love the Olympics. Not even a hideous logo and terrifying mascots can dampen my Olympic spirit. For a couple weeks every two years I am glued to my tv from the opening to the closing ceremonies. My London map has been a little slow-going as I am working on continuing my Here & There series in between freelance work but here is a little sneak peek.

I've got a good list going of places to highlight on the map but if you are a Londoner please feel free to leave any suggestions in comments!

CANCULTURE INTERVIEW + INTERACTIVE MAP

The nice folks at Canadian blog CanCulture interviewed me last week and published it last Wednesday.  There's a little behind the scenes look into the creation of my Vancouver map. Many thanks to Melanie and Louis for taking the time to chat with me and for putting together the rad interactive map! You can check out the full article right here.

Scoops of San Francisco

I got the opportunity to illustrate this map and cover highlighting some of the best spots for ice creamin' in San Francisco back in July. It ran in the Style section of the Sunday July 10 issue. Having no access to the paper in Milwaukee, a friend of a friend graciously picked me up a few copies from the Chronicle's office and mailed them to me. I was over the moon when they arrived last week! There are few things I enjoy drawing more than maps and food and this illustration only increased my desire to visit San Francisco.

TIFF Map for the Hollywood Reporter

Wow, long time no blog! I've been working on a few freelance projects over the summer that I plan on sharing over the next few weeks. Currently, I've dragged my butt to Starbucks as I will be getting internet in my new apartment on Tuesday (I know, first world problems).

It was a pleasure working with The Hollywood Reporter on this map of Toronto. The map is running with an article about the Toronto International Film Festival on newstands this week.
